So, You Wrote Your First Blog… Now What? Part 2
“Every post plants a seed. Some grow quickly, others take time, but each one has the power to grow into something unique and extraordinary .” — Corinne Erickson
So, You’ve Written Your First Blog… Now What?
Remember in Part 1 when I finally wrote my own blog (cue confetti, awkward dance, and all that jazz)? Well, here we are again — Part 2. Because once you hit “publish” on that very first post, the obvious question follows: Now what? Do you just sit back and wait for readers to magically find it, like a lost sock that finally reappears in the laundry? (Spoiler: not quite.)

Here are 6 reasons why keeping up with your blog really matters: 👊 And yes, if you haven’t noticed by now, I love a good list.”
1. It Puts a Face to Your Name
People don’t fall in love with logos, they fall in love with people. A blog gives your brand a heartbeat. It’s where your voice, your quirks, and your perspective step out from behind the business card.
2. It Builds Trust Without the Sales Pitch
Let’s be honest: nobody likes being “sold to all the time.” When you share your thoughts, stories, and know-how, people start to trust you. They see you as a real person, not just a post to take up space.
Trust builds quietly in the background, and before long, that trust is what opens the door to real business.
3. It Keeps You in the Room
The internet is noisy, and attention spans are shorter than ever. A blog is your way of tapping someone on the shoulder every now and then to say, “Hey, I’m still here and I’ve got something worth sharing.”
4. It Sharpens Your Own Thinking
Writing isn’t just for your readers. Every post forces you to gather your ideas, shape them, and find clarity. Half the time, you’ll end up learning as much as the people reading your words.
Over time, your blog becomes a library and a trail of your insights, style, and expertise that future clients (or collaborators) can walk through to see what you’re really about.
5. It’s Not Just a Blog, It’s Content Fuel
Here’s the secret: one blog post doesn’t have to live and die on your website. Think of it as the “master copy” you can break down and repurpose for social media, email newsletters, or even quick tips for LinkedIn.
A single idea can spin out into bite-sized posts, carousels, or quotes that keep your content flowing without constantly starting from scratch. That means more reach, more traffic, and more eyes on your business.
6. It Helps People Find You (SEO)
SEO isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s one of the most important steps in making your blog work for you. You can write the most thoughtful, well-crafted post, but without SEO, it may never be seen.
Every time you publish, you’re giving Google fresh reasons to notice you. By using the right words in your titles, headings, and content, you make it easier for the right people to find you when they’re searching for services like yours.
Think of SEO as turning your blog into a beacon, one that guides your ideal readers and clients straight to your business.
